so here we go:

as some of you guys know I am the owner of a limousine company called aerolimo and taxi company called amsterdam airport transfer service, I am also a dispatcher of that company and I do driving myself as well.
my company does all kinds of travels, but mostly transfers from hotels to the airport or sightseeing tours throughout Europe.
so far the intro of my work.

since the beginning of this month it is very quite at work.
i usually am working from sunday till thursday but now i need to work extra hours to break even.
so this Saturday I go to work.

around 12 o'clock I get a phone call from a colleague of me, who tells me a hotel he works for needs a minivan to go on a city tour.
6 Mexicans, and they want to go on a city tour.
they pay the hotel 140 Euro per hour so I better hurry.
( I only get 47 Euro per hour from that, the rest is commission for the hotel, rip off....... hey?)
13:00 o'clock I walk into the hotel, which is located in the city centre.
I meet the Mexicans, three men and three woman, they seem "cool", meaning not unfriendly, not spontaneous.

"where are we going? " I ask them.
"to the Van Gogh Museum" they answer....."do you want to join, we got an extra ticket?"

"uhm...no thanks, I am an art bar-bar and am not really interested in going into that museum again.
I have seen it a couple of times and I didn't like it." i said

lets go.....
at the museum they took their time, staying there over 3 hours
then they come out and want to go eat.
I take them to the l'Europe hotel next to the flower market.
after 3 hours they come out of that hotel, and tell me to wait a bit longer cause they want to go to the flower market and walk around a bit.
when they finally come back the feel hungry again and are looking for some chocolate cake and coffee.
I take them to the Rembrandt square, 2 minutes walk from there and point them out to the 3 sisters bar.
they come back at 2130 and want to go to the hotel.

balance...... 3 miles driven.... 10 hours charged...1400 Euro..... (470 Euro for me)

I meet you tomorrow 7.45 o'clock, we want to go to Brugge in Belgium with you, they said.

the next morning i take the effort to get out of bed early.....I never do that, but hey.....it is worth the money....
to go to brugge the hotel charges 11 hours so why not......
i am walking into the hotel.....lobby is empty. there is only staff there so i sit and wait.
8 o'clock........ a Mexican walks into the lobby.........

"oh.... i am the first one?"
"yeppers"
"lemmie see where the others are"
"okidoki"
1 hour later he found another Mexican and brought it down.
he wants to go to McDonald's to get breakfast for the group. (??????????????? they stay in a 5 star de luxe hotel but get breakfast from Mc?)
he orders ( hold on to your seat):
6 big mac's
6 cheese-burgers
6 Mc Chickens
6 Hamburgers
6 Chicken Mc Nuggets
6 fruit drinks

we go back to the hotel..........
no Mexicans in the lobby, and it is 9 o'clock already.
finally, at 9.45 o'clock they stumble into the lobby.
we leave, with the now cold burgers towards Brugge.
they eat 2 burgers, not each, just 2 burgers, the rest falls a sleep in the car to wake up 3 hours later in Brugge.
at the city centre i drop them of, tell them to call me when they want to leave.
one of the Mexicans gives me 40 Euro to go get some food/drinks for myself.
"thanks, buddy" I say, and leave...looking for a gas station to put that 40 Euro in my gas tank.
it is then 1300 o'clock.
2100 o'clock i get a call from the Mexicans.
I pick them up, thinking I finally go home again.

"what can you show us next?"
(shit....we are not going home?, I am thinking...alarm bells go off in my head)
"can we go to Brussels now?"
"Brussels is an ugly city after visiting Brugge so maybe Antwerp would be a better idea?" I suggest.....( and on the route so easier for me)
"OK, we go there,.......what can you show us in Antwerp?"
hookers and beer is what came into my mind, but I tried to keep it "professional"
"if you ask me, I would go to The Hague instead of some city in Belgium, cause they are all nothing compared to Brugge" I kindly tell them (and it is closer to home......but they don't need to know I wanna go home....do they?)
"wow, Hague.....best idea this day" he said.
2 hours later we arrived in The Hague, where I show them all the sights.
they are hungry after that and want to go and eat.
it is 2330 o'clock and most restaurants are closed, but we find one open.
he gives me 30 euro for food/drinks again.
"thank you sir"
at 00:30 o'clock they call me again and we leave.......to the hotel, finally.
01:30 we arrive in the hotel...I can go home............jaaaaawn.
ow....we want you to be here at 9:30 o'clock to go on a 4 hour sight seeing tour again......... ( shit....short night I am thinking)

balance for today: 325 miles driven.....18 hours ....2520 euro (846 for me and 70 Euro to go and eat/drink)

next day I am in the hotel at 9:30 tiered as hell, cause I slept only 5 hours.....
the first sign of Mexicans is at 11 o'clock.

it is the one paying all the bills and he is paying his room bills.
obviously he didn't even check his bill cause after he paid the hotel bill he wants to pay me.
( the total amount for the sightseeing trips he paid through his hotel bill of € 4480,00 he never even noticed)
we leave at 12 o'clock to go to the windmills.
we stay there till 13:00 o'clock and go to the airport.

they leave to go to Madrid, Spain and fly back home.
not before they give me a tip.
(more tip, I am thinking, they already gave me 70 Euro)
I get 200 dollar from 1 guy
I get 200 Euro from another
I get 200 Euro from the last guy.

OK, thank you.......( I even smiled when I got that) see you next time........
